REFLECTION

Experience

After learning the advanced typography course, I have a deeper understanding of typography, in-depth discussion of the principles and techniques of typography, so that I can more comprehensively understand the design elements of font, line spacing, spacing, alignment and other aspects. I have greatly improved my skills in software, learned to use professional typesetting tools (such as InDesign Fontlab, etc.), mastered advanced functions and skills, and improved the quality and efficiency of design. Of course, my aesthetic taste has also been improved, and I understand the importance of different typography styles for conveying information and attracting readers' attention.

Observation

When completing tasks, I became more sensitive to the details of typography, and some small details could have a great impact on homework. I began to pay more attention to the impact of font selection, line spacing and spacing on design and reading experience.

Findings

After finishing the semester, I found myself with a much deeper understanding of typography principles, including font selection, line spacing, alignment, visual layers, and more. This understanding allows you to more accurately apply these principles to your creations and designs. The advanced typography course made me realize the importance of different typography styles for different purposes and audiences. I am more flexible in using different styles to design and convey the message I want.
